چکیده
Abstract Recent years, manufacturing aims on increasing flexibility while maintaining productivity for satisfying emerging market needs higher product customization. Human Robot Collaboration (HRC) is able to bring about this balance by combining the benefits of manual assembly and robotic automation. When introducing a hybrid concept, safety human acceptance are vital importance achieving implementation. Fenceless coexistence may lead discomfort operators especially in cases where close Interaction (HRI) occurs. This work at designing implementing natural Human-System System-Human interaction framework that enables seamless between their “robot colleagues”. will strengthen implementation through increased: a) operator’s system’s awareness, b) trust system, decrease of: errors incidents. The overall architecture proposed system makes it scalable, flexible, applicable different collaborative scenarios enabling connectivity multiple interfaces with customizable environments according needs. performance evaluated scenario originating from automotive industry proving an intuitive can increase both robots operators.

A Multi-modal Approach for Natural Human-Robot Interaction
We present a robot that is able to interact with people in a natural, multi-modal way by using both speech and gesture. The robot is able to track people, process speech and understand language. To track people and recognize gestures, the robot uses an RGB-D sensor (e.g., a Microsoft Kinect). To recognize speech, the robot uses a cloudbased service. To understand language, the robot uses a prob...
متن کاملMulti-modal human robot interaction for map generation
This paper describes an interface for multi modal human robot interaction, which enables people to introduce a newcomer robot about different attributes of objects and places in the room through speech commands and hand gestures. Robot makes an environment map of the room based on knowledge learned through communication with human and uses this map for navigation. The developed system consists ...
متن کاملWorld Embedded Interfaces for Human-Robot Interaction
Human interaction with large numbers of robots or distributed sensors presents a number of difficult challenges including supervisory management, monitoring of individual and collective state, and apprehending situation awareness. A rich source of information about the environment can be provided even with robots that have no explicit representations or maps of their locale. To do this, we tran...
متن کاملRobot programming through multi-modal interaction
As robots enter the human environment and come in contact with inexperienced users, they need to be able to interact with users in a multi-modal fashion—keyboard and mouse are no longer acceptable as the only input modalities. Humans should be able to communicate with robots using methods as similar as possible to the concise, rich, and diverse means they use to communicate with one another. Th...
متن کاملHuman Robot Interaction for Multi-robot Systems
The multi-robot manipulation task, where a team of robots cooperatively lift and move objects, is exceptionally difficult due to the synchronization between the robots. Although increasing the number of robots can expand the area that the robots can cover within a bounded period of time, a poor human-robot interface will ultimately compromise the performance of the team of robots. However, intr...
